Compete across history against Alexander the Great, Cleopatra VII, Attila the Hun, or Queen Elizabeth I. Be the first to assemble a diverse civilization, consisting of six different citizen types, to reign supreme!
Regency is a quick and easy-to-learn, interactive, civilization-themed, set collection card game for 2-6 players ages 10+ where players act as regents representing the world's most (in)famous rulers.
Players must exert their influence over a general populace to attract diverse citizens, including nobles, religious, military, merchants, commoners, and brigands, where each citizen-type opens up new options of play.
Each unique type of citizen added to your domain opens up new options for play.
Commoners are designated by the color brown and by the crossed hammers icon.
Military citizens are designated by the color red and by the sword and shield icon.
Having a military citizen in your domain allows you to take offensive and defensive actions and reactions to protect your domain as well as your hand.
Some Citizens can be assigned to fill a role in your domain from several options, based on where you need them the most.
These Citizens are sought after due to their versatility.
This makes them more valuable to other players who may seek to "Abduct" them, providing they have a Brigand in their domain, or possibly "Convert" them if they have a Religious citizen.
The first player to assemble a complete civilization consisting of all six different citizen types wins the game and emerges as the Supreme Regent!
Compete across history against Julius Caesar, Queen of Sheba, Genghis Khan, or Emperor Charlemagne. Be the first to assemble a diverse civilization, consisting of six different citizen types, to reign supreme!
